National Healthy Schools Day - 4/26/2010!
National Healthy Schools Day is an important day for everyone to celebrate and promote healthy and green school environments for all children through the use of US Environmental Protection Agency’s Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Tools for Schools (TfS) Program.
Celebrated on Monday, April 26, 2010, National Healthy Schools Day is coordinated by Healthy Schools Network in collaboration with US EPA and the Council of Educational Facility Planners – International (CEFPI). It is the first day of School Building Week.
The 2010 campaign will focus on using certified green cleaning products which help reduce pollutants from indoor air.

Greenschools Gains Non-Profit Status!
We're pleased to announce that greenschools has been officially recognized by the IRS as a Public Charity. We are now a 501(c) (3) organization.
New Grant Will Fund Programs at Cape Cod Children's Museum
The Cape Cod Children's Museum, a greenschools partner, recently received grant funding from the Horizon Foundation for "It's Good to be Green" proposal. With conservation, modest renovation and education as the three main objectives for the grant, the Museum strives to be a model practice, promoting programming that compliments the greenschools mission. As a result of our partnership, greenschools will be hosting a number of programs at the Cape Cod Children's Museum in the coming year!
Greenschools Opens New Headquarters in Norfolk
In August, greenschools officially moved into its new home office at the Massachusetts Audubon Society's Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Norfolk.

MA Audubon Recognizes Robin Organ

On April, 16th, The New England Farm & Garden Association will be hosting their 91st Annual Meeting & Luncheon at the Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton. Come and join Robin Organ, President and Founder of greenschools as she will be presented with the award of Massachusetts Audubon Society Conservation Teacher of the Year.
GREEN INTERN EVENT/Informative Session
On April 12th, from 2:00 - 4:00p.m. at Woburn Memorial High School [a real GREEN school] we will be hosting a meeting for students interested in working with our organization.
Students [and parents] interested in GREEN community service projects, special events, curriculum, and finding out more about our organization should attend this event.
National Healthy Schools Day
April 28th will be the date for our National Healthy Schools Day gathering in Woburn.
Green Extravaganza
To raise awareness through education about healthier and greener learning environments, support greenschools by coming out on May 3rd for our fundraising event. The event will be held at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m.
